SSPC and NACE International have voted overwhelmingly in favour in favour of merger.
The vote saw both organisations see the highest vote participation in the history. An overwhelming 88% of SSPC voters and 89% of NACE voters approved the combination.
This momentous step will provide new opportunities for both memberships and help them do even more to protect the world’s infrastructure.
What does this mean?
Changes will occur incrementally and, during this transition, member services for both organisations will continue to operate as usual. Over the next few days, weeks and months, leaders from both organisations will convene to determine next steps and provide members with periodic updates.
This combination will bring the best of both organisations together and facilitate your access to information, education, training, certification, standards, and much more. In addition, the organisations are looking forward to the opportunity to include useful new benefits as we bring together capabilities, technologies and services that will enable them to better serve their members.
What happens next?
SSPC and NACE will jointly host two Town Hall Meetings the week of May 11th to discuss next steps and respond to comments submitted by members who voted.
